Dear Clients,

I am thrilled to announce some changes that are happening at Marcelo's Salon. First and foremost, we will soon be moving to a new location!

As you may know, I opened Marcelo's Salon eight years ago in a small space with room for only three stylists. I knew all my salon clients and business was good. When an opportunity to move into a larger space across town was presented to me, I took it, and that's where we have been for the last five years. What I found, however, is that I prefer having a small salon. I have come to miss knowing all of my salon clients and having the opportunity to see each of you while you're here.

In May, I let my staff know that I would be transitioning to a small salon again and that there wouldn't be room for all of them. It's been bittersweet to have these employees leave, but I'm really happy that all who are leaving found new salon homes. If the person who provided your services moved because of this change, I gave them your contact information to help them transition.

Three very talented stylists, Kalina Fisher, Kelly Foor, and Ami King, and my amazing receptionist, Amy Doyle, accepted invitations to stay with me and will move with me to the new salon when it is ready. The new salon is located at 2713 Rodd Street near Kroger in Midland. I'm told the major renovations I've ordered could take up to 10 weeks, so that means we will probably move in October. I can't wait, as the design is really contemporary and upscale. Until then, we will continue to serve you at our usual location at the corner of Jefferson and Wackerly.

Later this month, the current location of Marcelo's Salon and Spa will open under new ownership as Pomegranate Salon and Spa. They have purchased all of my existing salon furniture and equipment. I wish I could have delayed the transaction until our new building was ready, but I could not. The owners have agreed to share the space with us until our new building is ready. The sign will change, and you may notice other differences when you come in for your appointments, but rest assured that my receptionist, Amy, and Kalina, Kelly, Ami, and I will be inside to welcome you and deliver the professional services you have come to expect from us. I am really excited about these changes. It will be wonderful to be able to reconnect with all of you in a more intimate salon setting. I want to thank you for your business and support. For now, keep visiting us at Jefferson and Wackerly, even after the sign outside changes, and we'll let you know when we're ready to start serving you at the new salon on Rodd Street.
